The ban on the sale of alcohol and tobacco products may be changed

The current legislation sets the age limit at 20 years.

Draft amendments and additions to the Law "On limiting the distribution and consumption of alcohol and tobacco products" will be considered by the senators.

The new draft law "prohibits the sale of alcohol and tobacco products, tobacco and nicotine products to persons under the age of 21 and their sale by these persons, as well as the involvement of these persons in the consumption of alcohol and tobacco products".

The law, rejected by senators at the 27th plenary session of the Oliy Majlis Senate, is expected to be considered at the next plenary session.
