The blockade in Shanghai has caused Tesla damage

U.S. electric car maker Tesla has lost nearly 40,000 vehicles due to a blockade imposed in Shanghai.

Production at the company's plant in Shanghai was suspended on March 28. Prior to that, the plant produced an average of 2.1 thousand cars per day. It is unknown at this time when the ban will be lifted due to the spread of coronavirus in the city.

All Chinese automakers will be forced to suspend production in May if the blockade in Shanghai continues.

If quarantine measures are also introduced in nearby cities, the situation could worsen. This limits the supply of automotive components.
