The Chairperson of the Senate took part in the meeting of the IPA CIS Council

On November 5, 2021, a regular meeting of the IPA CIS Council was held.

The Council members discussed the agenda of the 53rd plenary meeting of the IPA CIS, as well as the work plan for 2022.

Then the parliamentarians discussed the results of monitoring the past elections in the Commonwealth space, including the election of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan on October 24, 2021,

A high assessment was given to the past presidential elections in Uzbekistan. According to representatives of the IPA CIS Council, the elections were held in accordance with international standards. They were open, democratic and transparent.

They also discussed the forthcoming elections of deputies of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic on November 28, 2021.

It was noted that the monitoring group included 75 international observers headed by the coordinator - Chairman of the Senate Committee of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan on Defense and Security Issues K. Burkhanov.

The Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis T. Narbaeva took part in the meeting and made a speech.

Further, information was heard about the decisions of the Council of CIS Heads of State of October 15, 2021 and the Council of CIS Heads of Government of November 12, 2021.
