The Emperor of Japan awarded Aziz Abduhakimov with a high order

A ceremony was held at the Imperial Palace in Tokyo to award the "Order of the Great Cordon of the Rising Sun" to Aziz Abduhakimov, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Tourism and Cultural Heritage of the Republic of Uzbekistan and , the Ministry of Tourism and Cultural Heritage reported.

By tradition, Japanese Emperor Naruhito presented the order in the presence of Prime Minister Fumio Kishido.

It is noted that awarding Aziz Abduhakimov with the "Order of the Great Cordon of the Rising Sun" confirms the recognition of his longstanding contribution to the strengthening of friendly relations between Japan and Uzbekistan.

For reference, this order is awarded since 1875 and is the oldest in Japan and the highest degree (6th level) of the Order of the Rising Sun.
