The Football Association of Uzbekistan will strengthen doping control

A meeting was held with the participation of representatives of the Football Association of Uzbekistan and the Anti-Doping Agency. It emphasized the importance of strengthening doping control in national teams, clubs and football academies of all ages, and promoting information about prohibited and harmful substances among players.
The need to increase the knowledge of trainers and medical workers in this direction was noted. The issue of strict implementation of international doping control standards was discussed at domestic championships.
For information, the Disciplinary Committee of the Asian Football Confederation temporarily disqualified Shakhriyor Jabbarov, a player of the Uzbekistan U-20 youth national team, because a banned substance was detected in a doping test.
According to the UFA, the investigation has not yet been completed, and the possibility that he consumed low-quality biologically active substances due to carelessness is being investigated.
