The import of vegetable oil will increase significantly

Uzbekistan plans to import 324,500 tons of vegetable oil in 2022, which is 25% more than last year.
The size is ensured by the annual growth of the country's population and the development of industries consuming oil products. This was announced by Ahror Abdurahimov, the deputy chairman of the Uziyoghmoisanoat association, at the first international conference "FOC 2022" held in Almaty.
According to the decision of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated May 31, 2022 "On additional measures to ensure the effectiveness of anti-monopoly measures", starting from June 1, vegetable oil, including cottonseed and the export of sunflower oil was banned.
