The International Labor Organization held an event in Tashkent dedicated to the signing of the Country Program for Decent Work in the Republic of Uzbekistan for 2021-2025

The event was attended by:
- Chairperson of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis, Chairperson of the National Commission on Combating Trafficking in Human Beings and Forced Labor Tanzila Narbaeva;
- Representatives of the International Labor Organization;
- UN Resident Coordinator in Uzbekistan;
- Minister of Employment and Labor Relations;
- Chairman of the Federation of Trade Unions of Uzbekistan;
- Chairman of the Confederation of Employers of Uzbekistan and others.

At the meeting, the Country Program on Decent Work in the Republic of Uzbekistan for 2021-2025 was signed and its implementation was launched. An agreement was reached on the further development of cooperation with the International Labor Organization for the implementation of the program.

“The Country Program on Decent Work in the Republic of Uzbekistan for 2014-2020 has been successfully implemented and laid the foundation for effective cooperation between Uzbekistan and the International Labor Organization,” said T. Narbaeva.

Within the framework of the Program, large-scale work has been done in the country to improve national legislation on the protection of the labor rights of citizens, and to introduce international labor standards into practice.
