The issues of cooperation of Uzbekistan with the member states of the Organization of Turkic States were discussed

On March 22, Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade S.Umurzakov met with Chairman of the Council of Elders of the Organization of Turkic States, Deputy Chairman of the Justice and Development Party of Turkey Binali Yildirim.
During the meeting, the sides discussed the current state and prospects of Uzbek-Turkish relations, as well as important aspects of multilateral cooperation within the Organization of Turkic States.
Particular attention was paid to measures to strengthen transport and logistics ties between the member states of the Organization of Turkic States. It was noted that it is necessary to work together to discover new, mutually beneficial logistics routes, simplify transit processes and increase the volume of cargo through the territories of member countries. In this regard, an agreement was reached to accelerate the development of the concept of transport and infrastructure development of the Turkic states until 2026 and to develop a separate "Road Map" for the development of this sector in 2022-2023.
A number of other issues of bilateral and multilateral cooperation were discussed at the meeting.In particular, to accelerate the launch of the Turkish Investment Fund and the Development Bank within the Organization of Turkic States, to establish engineering and technology centers specializing in the development of trade relations between Turkic countries on the basis of research institutions specializing in trade development, as well as between universities. Measures to normalize relations were considered. In addition, a number of joint events were discussed, such as the "Industrial Week", which was introduced to strengthen the cooperation of Turkish manufacturers in industrial cooperation and the organization of joint ventures, industrial exhibitions, international and interregional business forums.
