The Legislative Chamber will be empowered to review the candidacy of the Prime Minister

Powers such as reviewing and approving the candidature of the Prime Minister, monitoring the execution of the State Budget, and reviewing the Accounts Chamber's report are being transferred directly to the Legislative Chamber, which is elected by the people.
It is noted that this change is fully in line with the representative nature of the lower house and best foreign practices.
Under the current system, consideration of the Prime Minister depended solely on the will of the party or parties that received the highest number of votes in the elections to the Legislative Chamber. The new proposed procedure would ensure that all factions of political parties would be involved not only in the consideration of the Prime Minister, but also in the formation of the entire government.
Also, under the draft new Constitution, the Legislative Chamber would have the power to propose to the President the dismissal of a minister found to be performing unsatisfactorily.
