The level of the Sea of Marmara has dropped by 15-20 metres

On Monday, Turkish media published drone images showing that the sea level in the Avcılar area has dropped by about 15-20 meters and the cliffs near the coast have become exposed.
Scientists at the Kandilli Observatory said the natural phenomenon was caused by a change in pressure and said there was no connection to seismic activity and earthquakes in Turkiye.
