The meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the SCO member countries in Samarkand will end the presidency of Uzbekistan in the organization

Next week, Samarkand will host a meeting of the Council of Heads of state of the member countries of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization. This event will be the first face-to-face meeting of SCO leaders since 2019 and will end the presidency of Uzbekistan in the organization.

During the presidency of Uzbekistan, the main attention was paid to the most important priorities of cooperation within the organization, such as strengthening trade and economic relations, promotion of industrial cooperation, expansion of transport and communication interconnection, digital transformation and "green" economy, strengthening the international prestige of SCO.
