The need to provide employment for 5 million people in 2023 has been stressed

A video conference on measures to reduce inequality and provide employment as well as create additional conditions for small business development has begun under the chairmanship of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

Plans for 2023 to reduce poverty, provide employment and support small business are discussed.

The Head of State stressed that poverty reduction has been elevated to a national policy level.

As a result, it was noted that the poverty rate dropped from 17% to 14% in the last year alone, with the important factor being that the mayor's assistants trained 1 million residents in professions, helped them start businesses, and provided profitable jobs.

During this period some 200,000 business entities have been set up, 10,000 enterprises have been expanded, and the capacity of 11,000 enterprises has been restored.

All sectoral and regional leaders have been given specific instructions to continue this work in 2023, to ensure employment.

In particular, the need to provide employment for 5 million people in 2023, including the creation of 2 million permanent jobs, has been pointed out.
