The next SCO Women's Forum will be held in Samarkand

On July 19 of this year, a meeting was held in the Senate of the Oliy Majlis on the issues of organizing and holding the next SCO Women's Forum in Samarkand at a high level.

It was attended by senators, heads of ministries and departments, deputy governors of Samarkand region and Tashkent city, and mass media representatives.

At the meeting, the issue of thorough preparation for this Forum, which is being organized as part of the effective implementation of the presidency of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization in 2021-2022, was discussed.

In particular, in this regard, information was heard from the heads of some ministries and agencies preparing for the Forum.

As noted, the Forum aims to further develop cooperation and exchange experience of SCO member states on ensuring gender equality in the most important areas of BRM, expanding the rights and opportunities of women, identifying existing problems and taking measures to eliminate them, as well as , the Forum is being organized as a unique platform to strengthen the mutual relations of the countries.

The forum will be held in Samarkand on August 18-19, 2022.
