The Pension Fund commented on the news about raising the retirement age

The World Bank has proposed raising the retirement age in Uzbekistan to 65 years. The Pension Fund commented on this information, which caused mass protests in society.
"The Pension Fund reports that there are currently no proposals or projects on this issue, and this issue is not on the agenda. Therefore, this proposal is not valid and there is no cause for concern," the fund explained.
For information, the current retirement age in Uzbekistan is 55-60 years. The World Bank has proposed raising the retirement age to 65.
The report said that Uzbekistan is the republic with the lowest retirement age among post-Soviet countries, while Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Azerbaijan raised the retirement age for women and men to 65 years.
