The performance of court experts is assessed in a rating system

The Government Decree "On Approval of Certain Regulatory Legal Documents Regulating the Activities of Court Experts" approved a model regulation on the assessment of court experts in the rating system.

This regulation defines the following:

    evaluation and criteria for assessing the performance of court experts in the rating system;
    encouragement, reduction or cancellation of encouragement or disciplinary sanctions for court experts based on the results of the rating system;
    publicize the work of forensic experts with high ratings.

The decree also approved a regulation on the activity of the fund to support the development of forensic expertise under the Ministry of Justice.

State forensic science institutions are allowed to spend up to 50 per cent of their extrabudgetary funds on social protection and financial incentives for employees.
