The potential of renewable energy sources is used to solve energy problems

The President is currently holding a meeting with members of the public and officials in the capital. It was noted at the meeting that the demand of the city of Tashkent for electricity and natural gas is increasing and it was said that all calculations have been made to fully address energy issues.

First of all, it was necessary to use the potential of renewable energy.

It was noted that it is possible to install solar panels with capacity not less than 2000 megawatts in the city. This work could cover the area of high-rise buildings, social facilities, roofs of government offices and commercial buildings, industrial zones, car parks and large waterworks.

If these measures are taken, the expected demand of 240 million kilowatt hours in 2023 is expected to be more than four times higher, which means that 1.8 billion kilowatt hours could be supplied.
