The President congratulated the media workers on the Day of Press and Mass Media Workers, the press service of the head of state reports.

"Dear friends, I am sincerely glad to congratulate you and the veterans of the sphere on the Day of Press and Mass Media Workers, to express my deep respect and good wishes to all of you.
Your professional holiday this year is taking place on the eve of the great, the most precious date for all of us – the 30th anniversary of the independence of our Motherland, which gives it a special meaning and significance", - the president congratulated.

Shavkat Mirziyoyev also cited statistics that indicate the expansion of the websites of media workers. If in 2019 the information services of state and non-state organizations had 559 of their official websites, channels in social networks, then in 2021 – already 2410, the head of state noted.

It should be noted that the role and influence of mass media in society has increased in recent years, and Uzbekistan also pays special attention to improving human resources in this area.
