The President of Kazakhstan proposes to legislate against the sale of lands to foreigners

President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has sent to the lower chamber of parliament a draft law prohibiting the sale and lease of land by foreigners

Kassym-Jomart Tokayev announced this in his official Twitter account - “Today, using the right of legislative initiative, i sent to the Mazhlis( parliament) a draft law establishing a ban on the sale and lease of land to foreigners. The parliament will consider and make a decision in accordance with the current regulations, " posted the President of Kazakhstan.

According to the law, the sale and lease of agricultural land to foreigners and foreign legal entities is prohibited. This will also apply to legal entities with foreign stock.
