The President of Krygyzstan arrives in the city of Samarkand

President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov arrived in the ancient city of Samarkand on the invitation of President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to participate in the summit of the Organization of Turkic States.
The distinguished guest was met at Samarkand International Airport by Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov and other officials.
Kyrgyzstan became a member of the Organization of Turkic States (then called the Turkic Council) on October 3, 2009. It is worth noting that at the meeting in Nakhchivan, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan was present at the signing of the "Nakhchivan Agreement" along with Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, and Turkey.
It was at the second summit in Bishkek on August 23, 2012 that the international organization Turkic Council adopted its own symbolic flag.
It is worth noting that during the visit of President of Kyrgyzstan to our country in March 2021 a Joint Statement of Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan was adopted. A total of 22 documents covering nearly all aspects of multilateral Uzbek-Kyrgyz partnership have been signed during the visit.
These include a plan of practical measures to expand and deepen industrial cooperation that envisages the implementation of some 50 joint projects, an agreement on setting up an Uzbek-Kyrgyz investment fund, documents on cooperation in the mutual supply of electricity and construction of hydropower facilities in Kyrgyzstan.
