The President of Tatarstan took part in the opening of the Chirchik Technopark

During his visit to Uzbekistan, Rustam Minnikhanov took part in the opening of the Chirchik Chemical-Industrial Technopark in Tashkent region, the press service of the President of Tatarstan reports.

At the opening ceremony of the Technopark, the Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Abdullah Aripov noted that the event is a symbol of a new stage in the restoration and development of bilateral relations between Uzbekistan and Russia and an example of cooperation with Tatarstan.

The ceremony ended with the signing of a roadmap for expanding cooperation between the Tashkent government and the Government of Tatarstan for 2022-2023 and memorandums of cooperation with a number of companies in Tatarstan.

It should be noted that preparations for the establishment of an industrial park in Tashkent region began in 2018. In 2021, it was decided to establish an industrial park in Chirchik on the basis of unused buildings of JSC "Uzbek refractory and heat-resistant metals" and JSC "Maxam-Chirchik".

Currently, two buildings are being reconstructed in the territory of the future technopark, and one new building of the industrial park is under construction.
