The President of Turkmenistan and the Secretary General of the OTS discussed the prospects of cooperation

A meeting between the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimukhamedov and the Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States Baghdad Amreev was held in Ashgabat. It discussed the prospects of cooperation, taking into account strong potential in various fields.

As it was noted at the meeting, based on the modern reality, coordination of efforts and implementation of joint projects in strategic areas such as energy, transport and communication, and infrastructure were seen as urgent issues.

Taking into account the Turkish investment fund that is being established in the structure of the organization, favorable opportunities for cooperation are opening up.

Along with the trade and economic sphere, the humanitarian sphere has been defined as one of the integral components of cooperation, which is connected with the common historical roots, cultural and spiritual traditions that have been uniting Turkic-speaking peoples for thousands of years.

It was noted that the expansion of the scope of programs and projects implemented in the fields of education, science and culture, in general, effective relations in this direction will serve to successfully develop mutually beneficial interstate partnership and fill it with new content.

During the conversation, the topic of preparation for the next summit of the Organization of Turkic States, which is planned to be held in November of this year, was touched upon.
