The President of Uzbekistan held a number of meetings within the framework of the international conference

Shavkat Mirziyoyev met the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of India, the Deputy Prime Minister-Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
The EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Josep Borrel, stressed the importance of further expanding multifaceted cooperation, primarily in the field of the human dimension and democratic transformations.
During the meeting with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, special attention was paid to the preparation for the upcoming summit at the highest level, the promotion of joint programs and projects, primarily in the trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of India, Subramanyam Jaishankar, highly appreciated the efforts of Uzbekistan to promote the interconnectedness between Central and South Asia, as well as regional projects aimed at achieving peace in Afghanistan and the economic reconstruction of this country.
The preparation of the upcoming regular Consultative meeting of the leaders of the Central Asian countries in Turkmenistan, which will be held in August, was discussed with the Prime Minister-Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Mukhtar Tleuberdi.
