The President of Uzbekistan will take part in the informal summit of the Turkic Council.

On March 31, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev will take part in the informal summit of the Cooperation Council of Turkic-speaking States (Turkic Council) in the format of a video conference.
During the upcoming summit, convened at the initiative of the Kazakhstan, it is planned to discuss issues of further expanding and strengthening multifaceted relations within the Turkic Council.
It is expected that the head of our state will outline initiatives to build up mutually beneficial cooperation between the states of the association in trade, economic, investment, transport, communication and cultural and humanitarian spheres.
The member states of the council,which was formed on October 3, 2009, are Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Turkey. Moreover, Hungary participates as an observer state.
The Republic of Uzbekistan became a full member in 2019 and first involvement was in the Baku summit, held on October 15 of the same year.
The main goals of the organization are to strengthen trust and ties between the Turkic-speaking countries, develop cooperation in trade, economy, transport, energy, tourism and cultural and humanitarian spheres, coordinate efforts to ensure peace and security in the region.
The supreme body of the Turkic Council is the Council of Heads of State. The permanent executive body is the Secretariat, which is located in the city of Istanbul.
In addition, the International Organization of Turkic Culture (TURKSOY), the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic Speaking States (PATURK) and the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation, the International Turkic Academy and the Business Council operate under the auspices of the CCTS.
