The President together with Egypt initiated the creation of a global forum of Arabists

The AL-Ittirodiya Palace in Cairo hosted the negotiations of the president of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the president of the Arab Republic of Egypt Abdulfattah as-Sisi. The heads of state discussed in detail the issues of further development of Uzbek-Egyptian cooperation and agreed to bring their relations to a comprehensive level of partnership.

The presidents noted that the reforms carried out within the framework of the Egyptian strategic plan “Nazar-2030” and the development strategy of the New Uzbekistan are in harmony with each other.

During the talks, the leaders noted with pleasure the rapid development of bilateral relations, the activation of broad political dialogue, mutual assistance within the framework of international organizations such as the UN, the OIC, the SCO and the Non-Aligned Movement, and the acceleration of inter-parliamentary relations.

It was agreed to create favorable conditions for attracting mutual investments. Due to the fact that the economies of the two countries have a complementary nature, measures have been determined to cooperate in five specific areas-gas - chemical, textile, electrical, jewelry and pharmaceutical industries. The implementation of joint projects in the energy sector, as well as measures for the development of transport corridors connecting Uzbekistan and Egypt were also discussed.

The importance of developing cultural-humanitarian and religious ties was noted. An agreement was reached on the development of cooperation in the field of training specialists of the Arabic language. The president of Uzbekistan in 2024 put forward an initiative to jointly organize the Global Forum of The President together with Egypt initiated the creation of a global forum of Arabists.

The meeting took place in an open, friendly and friendly atmosphere. In the end, Shavkat Mirziyoyev invited Abdulfattah as-Sisi to come to our country on a visit.
