The President visited «Astrum» IT Academy

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the IT academy "Astrum" in the Yukorichirchik district and held a meeting with specialists in the field of information technologies, young programmers, managers and employees of IT and communication companies.

"Today, I came to the new IT Academy to hold a meeting with our young people and senior specialists in the field of IT, which are extremely important for us.

I believe that the issues that we will solve together today will give great impetus and motivation to the aspirations of the youth of Uzbekistan in the field of IT," said the head of state.

IT services are developing rapidly in the world. In the world, the growth rate of this industry is 10 percent per year and will reach 4.3 trillion dollars this year.

"We have started major reforms to gain a strong position in this market. In the last five years, 2 billion dollars, including 700 million dollars of direct investments, have been channeled into the industry.

Three years ago, we established IT parks and introduced a special tax regime for them," said the President.
