The President was presented with the project of the new International Trade Center in Termez

During his visit to Surkhandarya region, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev got acquainted with the project of the Termez International Trade Center, the press service of the head of state reports.
According to the data, the new shopping center will have an area of 26 hectares, where terminals for receiving, storing, processing, sorting, packaging, and selling products will be located. All the necessary infrastructure will be created.
The project provides for 1,800 retail outlets, a logistics center with a capacity of 50 thousand, two hotels with 400 seats, hospitals and car maintenance points. It is planned to place shops on the first floors of the buildings, and light industry enterprises on the second floors.
The total investment in the project is $75 million. According to estimates, the center's trade turnover will amount to $500 million per year. Exports worth $192 million will pass through the center.
$10 million was allocated from the Fund for Reconstruction and Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan to start the construction of the project.
The Head of State instructed to build the buildings of the center from light structures, to attract entrepreneurs of the region to service the center and export, as well as to create all the necessary conditions for foreign business people.
