The law on intellectual property is at the center of the discussion

At a meeting of the Senate Committee on Science, Education and Health, the Law «On amendments and Additions to certain Legislative Acts of the Republic of Uzbekistan in connection with further improvement of the legal protection of intellectual property objects» was adopted.

The law provides for amendments and additions to the Civil Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the laws of the Republic of Uzbekistan «On Inventions, Utility models and Industrial designs», «On trademarks, service marks and names of places of origin of goods», «On copyright and related rights».

In addition, the results of studying the state of implementation of the laws «On Communications» and «On Electronic Digital Signature», law enforcement practice and monitoring the adoption of by-laws are considered.
