The senatorial mandate of Jahongir Ortikhojaev was also terminated early

The Central Election Commission decided to remove former Tashkent hokim Jahongir Ortikhojaev from the list of members of the Oliy Majlis Senate. Earlier, on 27 January, the Tashkent City Kengash decided to prematurely terminate the parliamentary powers of Jahongir Ortikhojaev.

In accordance with a January 30 decision of the Central Election Commission of Uzbekistan, former hokim of Tashkent and deputy of the Tashkent City Council of People's Deputies Jahongir Ortikhojaev was removed from the list of senators of Oliy Majlis.

The decision was taken in view of the early termination of the powers of the Tashkent City Council of People's Deputies, as well as the written application of his powers as a member of the Senate.

Earlier, on January 27, the Tashkent City Kengash decided to terminate early the powers of deputy Jahongir Ortikhojaev.
