The Suez Canal is gradually returning to operational mode

Rescue teams have recovered the container ship Ever Given, stuck in the Suez Canal. This is reported by Bloomberg on Monday with reference to Inchcape Shipping company.

It has not yet been specified how soon the movement along the waterway will be restored.
Meanwhile, theThe Wall Street Journal, citing the head of the administration of the channel Osama Rabia, informs that the container ship has so far been just partially saved. The tugs are now trying to align the ship's course.
“This is good news,” Rabia said. "We're not done yet, but it has moved."
The container ship with a displacement of 220 thousand tons and a length of 400 meters belongs to the Japanese company Shohei Kisen and sails under the Panamanian flag. On March 23, due to strong winds and sandstorms, the ship hit the opposite bank of the canal, blocking a single line south of the Suez Canal and changing course.
