The US will allocate more than $3.3 billion to ensure security in Afghanistan

During a telephone conversation with Afghan President Ashraf Ghani, US President Joseph Biden said that the US will allocate $3.3 billion to support the Afghan security forces in the coming fiscal year.
Joe Biden also confirmed that the United States will continue to support the Afghan security forces in the field of self-defense. The White House said in a statement that $3.3 billion has been requested from Congress for this purpose for the 2022 fiscal year.
Of this amount, $1 billion will be allocated for the supply of fuel and ammunition to the Afghan forces, $1 billion for the provision of the Afghan Air Force and $700 million for the payment of monetary support to the Afghan military.
