The winners of the Asian Chess Championship were awarded

June 15-23 in the Republic of Maldives the West Asian Chess Championship was held among boys and girls aged 8 to 18 years. Today, the ceremony of awarding the winners and prize-winners was held at the Palace of Youth Creativity in our capital.
Alisher Sadullaev, head of the Youth Affairs Agency of Uzbekistan, presented the winners with appropriate awards.
During the event, it was also discussed that the 44th Chess Olympiad is being organized by the International Federation and that it includes open and women's tournaments and events aimed at popularizing chess.
Thus, on March 15, the International Chess Federation announced that the Indian city of Chennai will become the new venue for the tournament. It is scheduled to last from July 28 to August 8, 2022.
After the awarding ceremony, a press conference was held, where current issues related to the development of intellectual games were discussed.
P.S. Chess players from Uzbekistan won 10 gold, 8 silver and 5 bronze medals at the prestigious West Asian Championship and took 2nd place overall.
