The youngest world champion was included in the Guinness Book of Records

Kazakh chess player Bibisara Asaubaeva became the youngest world champion at the age of 17 and entered the Guinness Book of Records.

“Bibisara Asaubaeva from Kazakhstan is the youngest world champion in women's blitz. Bibisara won the Women's Blitz World Championships on December 30, 2021 in Warsaw, Poland at the age of 17.

Bibisara took 2nd place in this championship in rapid chess. In the decisive games, Bibisara defeated experienced Georgian grandmaster Nanu Dzagnidze and her compatriot Asel Serikbay and drew with the winner of the championship, international grandmaster Alexandra Kostenyuk.

Bibisara Asaubaeva, the first winner of the World Championship among adults in the history of Kazakhstan, was born on February 26, 2004 in Taraz.
