This year, it is planned to implement 34 projects worth 80 million dollars in the field of pharmaceuticals

On July 16 of this year, in the Nest One building, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan held a roundtable discussion on providing the population with cheap and high-quality medicines, and developing business entities operating in the field of pharmaceuticals and solving the problems they face in their activities.

At the meeting held by the head of state on April 12 of this year on the development of the pharmaceutical industry, it was noted that pharmaceutical products worth 1 billion 600 million dollars are consumed annually in our country, and most of them - about 1 billion 200 million dollars - are imported.

In particular, the level of localization is completely unsatisfactory in terms of regions. Only 2-5% of the medicine consumed in Kashkadarya, Surkhandarya, Khorezm, Bukhara and Fergana regions is contributed by local manufacturers.

Therefore, after studying the demand for medicines, measures for their localization have been determined, in particular, 34 projects worth 80 million dollars have been planned this year.

The event was opened by the Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan, Davron Vahabov, and called to be more active in identifying the current situation in the field of pharmaceuticals and the problems of entrepreneurs in this area, studying their proposals.
