Under the chairmanship of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, a videoselector meeting is being held on measures to reform the Civil Service and increase the efficiency in management.

"Today's topic is focused on the solution of issues that have been postponed for 30 years.

We are talking about the reform of the Civil Service and the improvement of efficiency and quality in management, which will ease the life of our 35 million inhabitants, directly affect their mood,” the head of State said at the beginning of the meeting.

As noted, 118 thousand people work in this area. In recent years, civil servants have become much closer to the people, the system of work “makhallabay” and “khonadonnbay” has been established.

Decent conditions have been created for employees to work effectively.

As a result, the share of employees under the age of 40 in the public service reached 61 percent (previously there were 37 percent).

“But yet, the public service has not become a system that truly please the people,” the president said.

For example, last year, people's receptions received 25 thousand complaints about the ignorance and irresponsibility of employees of ministries and authorities, 7 thousand complaints about their lack of communication culture.

The most complaints are related to the activities of the ministries of Health, Public Education, the municipalities of Kashkadarya and Surkhandarya regions.
