To'maris lapel badge established in Uzbekistan

President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov issued a resolution "On instituting the To'maris badge". In accordance with the resolution, the To'maris lapel badge was established to improve defense capability of Uzbekistan, preserve interethnic harmony, peace and stability in the society, support female servicemen who make a worthy contribution.
The resolution of the head of state approved the regulation on the "To'maris" breastplate and the "To'maris" breastplate and its certificate.
According to the decree, the State unitary enterprise of the Central Bank of Uzbekistan will produce the "To'maris" breastplate and its identification plate in accordance with the established procedure based on the orders of relevant ministries and agencies.
According to the decree, the costs associated with production of the "To'maris" badge and the certificate thereto, as well as rewarding the recipients are covered from budgetary funds, extra-budgetary funds and other sources, not prohibited by law.
The lapel badge is solemnly awarded by the heads of the ministries and departments (or other responsible officials on their behalf) on the eve of January 14 - Defender of the Fatherland Day.
