Tourist visas have been liberalized dramatically

It was noted at the meeting that 6 out of 11 major problems facing the tourism industry have been solved in recent years. In particular, visa issuance to tourists has been drastically liberalized and restrictions on currency exchange have been abolished.

Also:

Queues and checks at airports have been eliminated, green corridors have been created, and favorable conditions have been created at railway stations;
Guests were registered electronically, all conditions were created for their free movement;
The number of guest places increased 3 times and reached 125 thousand (in 2017 it was 37 thousand);
Social tax and turnover tax rates for tourism enterprises were set at 1 percent, land tax and property tax rates were reduced by 90 percent.
In addition, it was noted at the meeting that from now on, a system will be introduced where regional, district and city mayors will meet once a week with representatives of tour operators, hotels and resorts and solve their problems.
