Türkey launches its first satellite into space

Turkish IMECE - the first observation satellite will be launched into space on April 11. This was announced by the President of the Republic of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan on his page on the social network.
“Our first high-resolution IMECE surveillance satellite produced in the country will go into orbit on April 11. Turkey will continue to contribute to the global space race with qualified personnel, capabilities and technologies that it has developed,” Erdogan said.
Space X will launch the Turkish IMECE satellite at 09.50 in Turkish time.
IMECE is an earth observation satellite. It was developed by Tubitak-Uzay Space Technology Research Institute. The satellite will be put into orbit synchronous with the Sun at an altitude of 680 km.
The device is capable of receiving and transmitting high-definition images with a detail of less than 1 m.
The new satellite will perform the tasks of collecting information for the needs of the defense sector, monitoring natural disasters, and climate processes.
