Turkey is ready to cooperate with the Taliban

Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan announced his readiness to cooperate with the Taliban movement that seized power in Afghanistan.

"We are ready for all types of cooperation to keep peace for the Afghan people, to ensure the well-being of Turkish citizens living in this country, and also to protect the interests of our country," Erdogan said.

We remind you that on August 15, the Taliban captured Kabul without a fight and in a short time established control over the capital. Former President Ashraf Ghani justified his actions by not wanting to allow bloodshed. Neighboring and western countries are evacuating their citizens.

Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu noted that the country maintains close ties with the Taliban and positively receives their messages.
