Turkic countries cooperate in space exploration

Tashkent hosted the second meeting of space agencies and relevant agencies of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS).
The meeting was held by the Director General of the Agency for Space Research and Technology under the Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan (“Uzbekkosmos”) Shukhrat Kadyrov.
Speaking at the meeting, the Secretary General of the organization Kubanychbek Omuraliev noted that the study of the Universe will help solve many problems facing humanity, the work that should be done in the field of space will bring a bright future.
He added that the OTS attaches great importance to cooperation in the field of outer space, and this meeting testifies to the efforts of the participating States to develop joint cooperation in the field of space exploration.
“OTS member countries have different knowledge and experience in the field of space exploration, it is very important to combine them,” Omuraliev said.
The head of the Turkish Space Agency suggested that the OTS member countries jointly implement the Kubsat project (the format of small satellites for space exploration measuring 10 × 10 × 10 cm and weighing no more than 1.33 kg).
He said that this is very important for all parties both from a technical point of view and from the point of view of joint work.
