Turkish Akcha Holding intends to establish textile production in Uzbekistan

Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan - Minister of investments and foreign trade Jamshid Hodjaev held meeting with member of Board of directors of Turkish company Akcha Holding Ahmet Bilge Goxan on November 29 of current year.
During the meeting the sides discussed prospects for enhancing bilateral relations, with a view to implementing new joint projects and further developing cooperation in the textile industry, renewable energy sources, agriculture and mechanical engineering.
Representatives of Turkish companies highly rated the conditions created in Uzbekistan for the comfortable work of investors and expressed readiness to implement in Namangan region the investment project in the textile industry worth 250 million dollars. It is about production of yarn, terry towels, home textile, knitwear, military uniforms, cloth, dyed fabric and other textile production oriented to markets of the United States, Europe, Brazil, Canada and other countries. The realization of the project will create 12-15 thousand new jobs.
Following the results of the meeting the Uzbek side expressed its willingness to provide full assistance at all stages of the project, as well as in the development of new investment initiatives.
