Turkiye One Heart campaign has raised more than $6 billion, $106 million in donations

According to Anadolu Agency, the "Turkiye - One Heart" campaign continues to air on Turkiye's leading TV and radio channels. As of 03:10 local time on February 16, donations to the "One Heart" earthquake relief campaign in Turkey reached 115.1 billion lira ($6.106 billion).

On the evening of 15 February the Earthquake Relief Campaign was broadcast live on all TV and radio channels in Turkiye, Azerbaijan and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus by the Emergency Management Department.

More than 9 million SMS messages of support were received. It is noted that 213 TV channels and 562 radio channels from different parts of the world supported the "Turkiye - One Heart" campaign.

It was noted that the President of Turkey also contacted the live studio of the "Turkiye - One Heart" charity campaign by telephone. Erdogan expressed condolences to the families and friends of the victims of the devastating earthquake that hit Kahramanmaras.

He said all resources of the state are directed to eliminate the consequences of the earthquake, which had catastrophic consequences in 11 regions of the country. According to the President, more than 250 thousand people are permanently working in the disaster zone.

Politicians, businessmen and artists from various parts of Turkiye and prominent members of the sports world from Turkiye and abroad also appeared live and supported the Turkish people.
