UFA: Foreign experts in the women's national team

A meeting was held between Aziz Abdukhakimov, the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan - Minister of Tourism and Sports, and Midori Honda, Japanese football specialist.

Yesterday, Japanese experts paid a visit to the Ministry of Tourism and Sports. The guests are accompanied by UFA First Deputy Chairman Ravshan Irmatov. They were received by the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan - Minister of Tourism and Sports Aziz Abdukhakimov.

At the beginning of the meeting, A. Abdukhakimov praised the achievements of Japan in women's football. He also provided a background information about the attention paid to women's sports in our country today, especially football.

In turn, the Japanese specialist Midori Honda extolled the attention paid to women's football in our country and mentioned that Uzbekistan is ready to take women's football to a new level.

P.S: Midori Honda has represented Japan for 10 years, starting at the age of 17, who is the participant of the 1991 World Cup and bronze medalist of the Asian Games. He started his career as a head coach in 2001 at “Okayama”. Later, he worked as an assistant coach on the Japanese “U-20” women's team, gaining 3rd place at the World Championships. From 2013 to 2019, he led “Nagano Parceiro”, and from 2020 to 2021, the club “Shizuoka SSU Asregina”.

Midori Honda is the first female coach in Japan to receive a JFA C-C license.
