«Union agreement» signed between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan

This was stated by Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Kasym-Jomart Tokayev during negotiations in extended format with the participation of delegations of the two countries.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev stressed that significant results have been achieved in all areas of Uzbek-Kazakh cooperation, and spoke about the signing of important documents today:
"Today, we will sign two historic documents. I would like to especially note the Agreement on Alliance, which meets the fundamental interests of our brotherly peoples and opens a new stage in the history of Uzbek-Kazakh relations.
The Alliance is the highest level of interstate cooperation, a token of mutual confidence. We hereby confirm our desire to build our common future together.
The agreement on the demarcation of state borders testifies to the strength of our relations and serves the goals of peace and security in the region. Our borders have always been and will remain territories of friendship and good neighbourliness," Shavkat Mirziyoyev said.
The Kazakh president noted with satisfaction the current high level of bilateral relations.
"Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan have established strong and harmonious relations based on the common history and brotherly ties of our peoples," Kassym-Jomart Tokayev said.
