US President wants to build stable relations with Russia

The head of the US White House Joe Biden invited Russian President Vladimir Putin to hold a personal meeting this summer as part of his visit to Europe to participate in the G7 summit. The President of the United States announced this during his speech.

On April 13, a second telephone conversation took place between Putin and Biden at the initiative of the American side. The head of the White House wants to discuss the stabilization and the state of bilateral relations, as well as a number of international issues. Accordingly, personal communication between the leaders is necessary to stabilize relations between the two countries, including for the development of fruitful, constructive and long-term cooperation. This was reported on the Kremlin website.

On May 4, US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken noted that the likely face-to-face conversation between the US and Russian presidents would benefit both countries.

The G7 meeting is expected to take place on June 11-13 in Great Britain, and the NATO meeting on June 14 in Brussels, TASS reports.
