Use of renewable alternative energy sources in universities in Bukhara region

Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation Ibrohim Abdurahmonov checked the status of use of renewable alternative energy sources in all universities of Bukhara region and the work carried out in this regard.
Earlier the minister visited Bukhara State University. It was noted that an autonomous solar photovoltaic power plant with capacity of 900 watts was installed at the university. Owing to this, one traffic light, a barrier at the entrance and four searchlights of 100 watts are working.
Also, in order to use solar energy for hot water supply in the student dormitory, 10 collectors with a total capacity of 2,200 litres were installed, 182 monocrystalline solar panels with a total capacity of 100 kW on the roof of the main university building and 50 solar panels for work lights with a capacity of 150 W were installed.
This year, 70 per cent of the university's electricity supply is planned to come from alternative energy sources.
