Uzbek-Hungarian business forum takes place in Samarkand

Today, November 10, Uzbek-Hungarian business forum is held at the "Silk Road Minyoun Hotel" in Samarkand within the visit of the delegation led by Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban to Uzbekistan.
The forum, attended by representatives of business communities of the two countries, is aimed at comprehensive strengthening of relations between Uzbekistan and Hungary to further develop investment, trade and economic cooperation.
Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade of Uzbekistan Jamshid Hodjaev pointed out at the opening ceremony that the event had a symbolic sense on the eve of summit of the Organization of Turkic States.
Also: "The volume of our mutual trade is growing rapidly (3 times in 5 years). The number of joint ventures (15) and volume of investments grows (in 2022 - more than $30 million)," said the Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade Jamshid Khodjaev.
In addition, "following an official visit of President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Hungary in October, we have adopted a road map for implementation of new projects worth more than 1 billion dollars," Khodjaev said.
The forum was also addressed by Peter Szijjártó, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Economic Relations of Hungary. He noted with satisfaction that representatives of more than 40 enterprises took part in the meeting.
In the first part of the event there was an exchange of documents and a signing ceremony.
G2B and B2B meetings between heads of ministries, departments, industry associations, banks and leading companies of Uzbekistan and Hungary will be organized within the business forum.
