Uzbek National Industrial Holding

The opening ceremony of the first branch of the National Industrial Holding (NIH) LLC in Fergana region was held on January 29. The event was organized by the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade with the support of the Fergana regional administration.

The ceremony was attended by the management of the Direct Investment Fund under the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade (UzDIF), the governor of Fergana region H. Bozorov, representatives of the regional branch of the Ministry, employees of the Fund, local entrepreneurs and the media.
During the event, a presentation was made on the substantial aspects of the activities of the Direct Investment Fund, as well as the goals and objectives of the holding and the principles of its activities.

The target of the project is to finance projects in the regions of the country in order to stimulate entrepreneurship, develop industry and strengthen cooperation between local producers. This initiative is one of the components of a new system of incentives for investment and foreign trade, which is being actively implemented by the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade.

The NIH, together with international experts, organizes the development of the concept of industrial zones, coordinates the design and construction of the necessary infrastructure, buildings and structures necessary for the placement of projects of entrepreneurs in accordance with the competitive procedure. Most of the investments in the projects of local entrepreneurs are covered by the NIH.

The initiative aims at increasing regional GDP, boosting industrial capacity, creating new jobs, uniting entrepreneurs and capital, proliferating technological capacity as well as budget revenues.
