Uzbek President took part in the online summit of the EEU

Shavkat Mirziyoyev, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, attended a meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council on May 27 as the head of the observer state at the organization.
The event was chaired by President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov, where President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan, President of the Republic of Cuba Miguel Bermudez, as well as Chairman of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission Mikhail Myasnikovich participated.
The agenda of the meeting included issues of further development of mutually beneficial cooperation and integration processes in the Eurasian Economic Union, including strengthening practical partnership in the fields of economy, trade, industry, transport and others.
At the beginning of his speech, the President of Uzbekistan noted that Kyrgyzstan is actively chairing the OSCE, which serves to expand multifaceted cooperation within the organization.
Noting the dramatic changes taking place in the world and the crisis, which has become a serious threat to the stability of the countries, the Uzbek leader outlined the most pressing issues that need to be addressed together.
The President called for the continuation of the elimination of technical barriers to trade between Uzbekistan and the Eurasian Economic Union and mutual recognition of certification. This will greatly simplify the entry of goods into our markets.
At the end of his speech, the President reaffirmed Uzbekistan's determination to consistently strengthen mutually beneficial cooperation and multifaceted partnership with the Eurasian Economic Union in order to ensure the sustainable development and prosperity of the countries.
