Uzbekistan Airways has received its first A321neo aircraft

Uzbekistan Airways has acquired the long-haul aircraft Airbus A321neo (LR). The 188-passenger aircraft is powered by LEAP-1A engines. By the end of the year, it is planned to deliver four more aircraft of this type.
According to the press service of Uzbekistan Airways, the first Airbus A321neo (LR) aircraft was delivered to Uzbekistan from Hamburg, Germany on 14 February. Uzbekistan Airways became the first operator of an Airbus long-haul aircraft in Central Asia.
The aircraft with registration number UK32101 is designed for 188 passengers (16 seats in business class, 172 seats in economy class) and is equipped with CFM International LEAP-1A engines. The airline plans to use the A321LR on domestic and international routes.
The company has ordered a total of five Airbus aircraft: four more will be delivered by the end of 2022.
The A321LR is a version of the A320neo with an extended range that can fly up to 7,400 km thanks to three additional central tanks (ACTs) designed to store large volumes of fuel.
