Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan will increase the volume of trade

President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov continued the negotiations with the participation of members of the official delegations of the two countries, heads of a number of ministries and regions.

The parties expressed a strong desire to work together to deepen their strategic partnership. It was noted that the agreement on the border between our countries was adopted by our fraternal peoples with high spirits.

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev noted the main priorities of mutually beneficial cooperation. This is, first of all, an increase in the volume of mutual trade and an expansion of its nomenclature.

Within the framework of industrial cooperation, it was proposed to develop new investment projects worth almost $ 500 million. The production of cars, modern household appliances, building materials, joint extraction and processing of minerals are from this sentence.

The leader of our country noted the strengthening of cooperation in the field of Agriculture in the framework of ensuring food security as an important area of cooperation.

The implementation of the agrocooperation program aimed at the development of intensive gardens and greenhouse farms, the supply of potatoes, fruits and vegetables and livestock products, the cultivation of agricultural products and the launch of other joint projects will serve these purposes.

It was noted that cooperation in the field of Transport and logistics is of strategic importance. It was agreed to activate work on the construction of the railway “China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan”, to fully exploit the potential of the Automobile Road “Andijan-Osh-Irkishtom”, to establish a joint transport and logistics company for this purpose. During the negotiations, special attention was paid to cooperation in the energy sector.
